To Give Scout Badges Deerfield American Legion post, commander, has volunteered to preâ€" sent to all the scouts in Deerfield the year of 1930. This will mean the Deerfleld scouts will not need to buy any of the scout badges but the Merit badges, © Tenderfoot,: Second Class, First Class, and Star, Life, and Eagle pins will be paid for by the American Legion post. This fine bit of service on the part of the post is greatly appreciated by the scouts of Deerfield. It will help many scouts to have the badges to wear where before they could not afâ€" ford them. Best of all, the scouts and every one will know that the Deerâ€" field American Legion is "all for scouting." On Friday evening, Nov. 29, troop 50 and 52 of Deerfleld will hold their Grammar school gym. Many interâ€" esting awards will be made including several camp awards. There will be interesting ~demonstrations such as pyramid building, fire by friction, and a fine first aid problem to be solved.
