Adolph Grunewald Dies at Home in Rockford Mr. Adoiph Grunewald, father of Miss Etta Grunewald of the Elm Place school faculty, passed away last Friday, March 28 at his home in Rockford, after a long period of ill health,. He was 82 years old. Fuâ€" nerald services were held Sunday aftâ€" ernoon. Besides his daughter, he leaves a wife and one son to survive him. With the help of members of the Community Garden class she sold 856 tickets. She is conâ€" tributing the prize to the club which amount together with the commisâ€" sions form ticket sales adds over $250 to the club treasury. Mrs. Speed states that her deep beâ€" lief in flower shows as artistic specâ€" tacles and. great educational influâ€" ences is due to the inspiration of her father who as president for many years of the Horticultural Society of Chicago staged Chicago‘s earliest sucâ€" cessful flower shows. The Highwood Civic Improvement association brass band will give a "concert" at the St. James hall, 8 o‘clock, Monday, April 7.
