Deerfield Lion‘s Club , Elect New Officers Successful Affair The Deerfield American Legion Auxiliary held a meeting at the home of Mrs. John Farner on River road Monday evening with Mrs, Leslic Behrens as assisting hostess. Mrs. John Farner was appointed chairman of the "Registration Booth," which the unit will have charge of during the Legion carnival to be held Friday and Saturday, August 22 and 238. During the business session, the Child Welfare chairman, Mrs. Wilâ€" liam Tennerman gave a spendid acâ€" count of the trip to Normal when she personally interviewed the three orphans adopted by the local unit also vivid description of home grounds, etc. Legion Auxiliary to Assist With Carnival .The president announced that a shower for the registration booth would be given at the August meetâ€" ing at which time members are reâ€" quested to bring article suitable for this booth.
