William Barrett is vacationing in Northern Michigan. He expects to return about Saturday of this week. Gordan Clavey, Robert and John Ginter returned on Saturday evening after spending the past four weeks at Camp Makajawan near Elcho, Wis. Mrs. R. J. Blood poisoning resulting from a splinter of a chicken bone, which lodged in his finger about two weeks ago was the ultimate cause of Mr. Sacks demise, Mr. Sack spent all his life time on a farm on Telegraph road, now known as Waukegan road in Deerfleld where he was born in 1866. On Nov. 12, 1898 he married Minâ€" Frank Sack, Victim of Blood Poisoning oclock and at St. Paul‘s Evangeliâ€" 1 church at 2:30 with the pastor, v. F. G. Piepenbrok officiating. The Deerfield Junior basebail team, sponsored by the Legion post, which recently won the county champion» ship in the Legion baseball contests, on Monday evening defeated a Junior Legion team from Glenview, 15 to 8. The superior pitching of Juck Allen, for Deerfeld, and the ability of his supporters to hit the ball almost at will, accounted for the victory, â€" The game was . an interesting one and very well played on both sides.
