The Chamber of Commerce <will render any assistance possible in the way of giving publicity to Dollar Day, but the big thing to remember is for all firms to enter Dollar Day with real bargains so that there will be 100 per cent coâ€"operation. Dollar Day is for all merchants in Highland Park and Ravinia and the more firms that take part, the more successful will be the day. It is emphasized that Dollar Day is for cne day only.â€" Merchants are urged to use their own judgment as to what articles and how many differâ€" ent articles are offered, and how to advertise, but the committee espeâ€" cially requests that each offer some burgain for $1.00 regardless of the kind of business he is in. Improvements Made _ in Y. W. C. A. Quarters The committee is very much in favor of Dollar Days. It is also agreed that a large percentage of the merchants who took part in Dollar Day last February were more than pleased with results, in fact they were surprised at the large volume of business transacted on that day. Expect Big Success This year it is expected that the firms taking part will be: close to 100 per cent, and that Dollar Day on August 13 will surpass anything yet undertaken in the way of ‘bargain day. * Park, Deerfield, Ravinia and Highâ€" wood during that day, giving everyâ€" body an opportunity to see what barâ€" gains are offered by the merchants whose advertisements appear therein, It is planned to make this a big community event with attractive merchandise for everybody so that the entire community may benefit thereby.
