S. Garden Club » Resumes Activities| _ Annual Flower Show, The MacDowell society of the North Shore is about to resume its activities for the coming season. The society has three meeting during the yearâ€" one of which is a benefit for the "Reâ€" treat" at Petenborough, N. H., the project which lay so close to the great composer‘s _ heart. Here _ artists, writers and musicians may with propâ€" er credentials go and study in peace, removed from the distractions of the world. ~This meeting will be held in Highland Park if possible, at which time a fine dramatic and musical proâ€" gram will be offered. ‘ Mrs. Marictta Francis Ball, aged seventyâ€"seven â€" years, passed away Sunday morning at the home of her son, Mr. Edgar G. Ball of Ridgewood drive, following a month‘s illness. Funcral services were held Tuesâ€" day afternoon at three o‘clock from the residence, with interment at Rose Hill cemetery. _ The Rev. Members of the club competed in two classes, and awards were made from the judges‘ decisions as well as from members‘ decisions.
