Funeral services for Miss Christâ€" iana Duffy were held at the Holy Cross Catholic church Monday mornâ€" ing at 10 O‘clock, the Rev. C. L. Meâ€" Donough officiating. Miss Duffy passed away early Friâ€" day morning, September 19, 1930. She was 78 years old and was born on a farm west of Deerfield on N. Wilâ€" mot road, commonly known as Dufâ€" fy‘s lane, which her father bought in Miss Duffy with her brother Michâ€" mel lived on the farm until> 1920 when they sold it and came to live with their sister, Mrs. Knickerbocker on Waukegan road. While Miss Duffy had been ailing for a number of years, her death was rather sudden. During the past few years she sustained a number of inâ€" juries including a broken leg, fracâ€" tured shoulder and arm, which conâ€" fined her to her bed for many months. Testimony of the high esteem in which she was held was widened by the large attendance at the obsequies. She was buried in St. Patrick‘s cemetery West Lake Forest.
