Coach Dick Hanley has brought his team along fast during the two weeks they have been together, and by Saturday they should be ready to face the Greenies who last year won ‘the Southern Conference chamâ€" pionship. _ The Wildeats, led by Capt. Hank Bruder, have appeared especially effective in their last few scrimmages with the freshmen. Saturday‘s game should go a long way towards deciding the superiority, one way or ancther, of southern and midwestern â€" football. The Tulane team figures among the topnotchers in the Dixic league, while Northwestâ€" ern is representative of the brand of ball being played in this section. That Tulane is bent on upsetting Northwestern, there is no question. The southern aggregation remembers the drubbing extended the Wildcats in 1925 when a strong Tulane team won by a score of 18 to 6. North Shore Sisterhood Meeting Oct. 15 to Have Program by Mischakoff The opening meeting of the Sisterâ€" hood of North Shore Congregation Israel for the season of 1930â€"31 will be on Wednesday, October 15, at the temple in Glencoe. The program for the afternoon will be given by ‘Mischa Mischakoff the new concert meister of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Mischaâ€" koff came here a fugitive from Rusâ€" sia where he studied under Korgueff and Auer and in 1913 won the gold medal at the Conservatory in Petroâ€" grad. In 1923 at the Stadium Audiâ€" tion, in New York, Mr. Mischakoff was the only one selected out of 700 contestants for an appearance with the Philharmonic Orchestra in New York. He has been concert meister of the Philadelphia Symphony under Stikofsky and has also filled the same noteworthy place as concert meister under Walter Damrosch with the New York Symphony. Mr. Mischakoff has received the highest and most noteworthy praise by all the New York critics. The N. Y. Herald says that he "played with fine tonc, skill, intelligence and feelâ€" ing" and the N.
