May Shift Route 173, Good Roads Group Told Members of the rightâ€"ofâ€"way comâ€" mittee of the Board of Supervisors last week advised the Lake County Good Roads association that the present plans for route 173 would be abandoned if the property owners inâ€" sisted on holding out for exhorbitant prices for their property. It was indicated that if the propâ€" erty owners continued to hold out for higher prices, the road would be shifted to another section of the county. R. M. Lobdell, superintendent of highways, outlined the highway work accomplished in the county during the present construction period and told of all the contracts let this year, He further stated that. all efforts would be made to complete the surâ€" veys for the roads planned under the $1,250,000 bond system.
