We are able to announce swimming for active members every Saturday morning from 11 to 12 at the Deerâ€" fieldâ€"Shields high school. It will be necessary to have rules and regulations for these classes. The pool will be well guarded by the junâ€" jor and senior life savers. The following life savers will assist, Nellie Calkins, Myra Jane Hutton, Marjoria Kendall, Dorothy Himmler and Beatrice Thorson. Mrs. McManâ€" sus and Miss deHartog will also assist. 4 _ Each girl will be asked to check with an adviser before entering the pool. 3 h Girls! Be sure and come to your meeting every week. This swimming period will be a privilege for perfect attendance. There will be two periods this week from 11 to 11:30. Deerfield, Wilmot, and Ravinia will go in, and the Cubs Jr. and Sr., Makio and Makiolets. Here is your chance to splash, Girl Reserves. Highwood Parachute Jumper Has Close Call Jimmie Watson, of Highwood, parâ€" achute jumper and airplane pilot, had a narrow escape last Sunday, when his parachute was picked up in a gust of wind so that he was thrown on the peak of the Burris barn at the Waukegan airport Watson rolled from the roof and dropped to the ground below where he struck a post in falling. The breath was knocked out of the aviaâ€" tor and he was slightly bruised.
