The following is contributed: Marguerite Axt, the 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Axt of High street Highwood died at the Augustana hospital, Monday morn- ging, after an illness of more than 18 Imonths. Miss Marguerite Axt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Albert Axt, 111 High street, Highwood, died Monday in the Augustana hospital, Chicago. She' was aged 17 years, four months Inch nine days, She was born Sept. 15, 1913. Miss Marguerite Axt Dies; Funeral Is Held Wednesday Afternoon in May, 1929, Miss Axis wee injured in an automobile accident on Prairie avenue. She suffered a bed skull fracture and several operations fol- lowed. Her brain was seriously in. jured and later her spine was affected and paralysis finally resulted. Every possible care that surgical skill and nursing could provide was given the unfortunate girl during her long ill- nesa. She is survived by her parents and four sisters and two brothers, Rale- bud, Violet, Pansy, Blossom, Albert, Jr. and Phillip Akt. The funeral' is to be held Wednes- day afternoon. Burial will be in the North Shore cemetery. On the evening of May 20, 1929, Marguerite was seriously injured when the automobile which she was riding was struck from the rear by another car. Her worst injury was a fructure of the skull from which she never recovered. Although her condition seemed to improve at times, a brain infection, spreading to her spine and causing paralysis of the lower limbs, finally claimed her life. Thus it was that she was able to approach her grave “sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust, like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams." May the God of all consolation comfort the hearts of the bereaved and help them to see that what seems to be their loss is Martruerita's train.
