A medical student testified to the great help that came to him at a service here in his home church a few weeks ago. A young lady, a college student home on vacaâ€" tion, told how her life had been transâ€" formed since she accepted Christ as her savicur and that in Him she finds perfect joy and satisfaction. A man who speaks several languages told how he had found relief from auxious care and worry, through faith in Christ. _ Many similar testimonies were given. The pastor was greatly enriched in his personal life. Rev. Joseph Taylor participated in the service. Intelligent and united:â€"prayer was offered for many causes. Many meetings of a similar character were held throughout our country and we were inspired with the thought of beâ€" ing in spiritual fellowship with them. _ There are many burdened hearts in these days. Discouragement and deâ€" pression are present in many lives and homes. The unemployed need work, the economic situation needs to be improved, but the greatest need is a general turning to God. The probâ€" lems of our nation and of the world are not material but moral and spiritâ€" ual. In a time of drouth and pestilâ€" ence and business depression God said to His ancient people: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This is God‘s message to America today. Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and Among the Local Churches I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
