The rehearsal dinner was given by the bride‘s parents following the wedding rehearsal last evening, ¢ulâ€" minating a host of entertainments honoring the young couple during tde past two weeks.~ At this dinner Mr. and Mrs. Matherâ€"Smith enterâ€" tained, the bridal party at their beautiful home in Columbia, where they spend the spring and fall seaâ€" sons. Places were laid for twentyâ€" six persons. . ‘ Immediately following the wedâ€" ding ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Mather Smith will entertain with a reception at their home. There will be dancing afterward in an especially built paâ€" vilion on the spacious lawn, which is to be artistically lighted for| the occasion. Miss Helen Jean Abercromby has gone to Cedar Rapids, lowa, where she is entering her freshman year at Coe College.
