Preus, of 319 North Sherâ€" idan Road, who besides being assoâ€" ciated with Mr. Alexander in busiâ€" ness, has been his friend and neighâ€" bor for many years. W. A. Alexander, founder of W. A. Alexander & Co., one of Chiâ€" cago‘s oldest and largest insurance agencies, being located for over 50 years on the corner of LaSalle and Adams streets, has just passed away. He was to have eelebrated the moving of his great organizaâ€" tion to the 33rd, $4th and 35th floors of the new Field building at LaSalle and Adams Streets. Art League For the past ten years the North Shore Art League has been the only organization, : north of + Evanston, whose object was the creation of an art center on the North Shore, and the development of a higher appreâ€" ciation of art.
