He had lived in Highland Park for the past 20 years. Special posters on display at the post office will temind you that it is Air Mail Week; but you are asked to watch for the airplane and shower of air mail schedules, Wilber Brotherton y Passes Away May 9 Notice has just been received of the death of ‘Wilber Brotherton, Jr., husband of Dorothy Bastin Brothâ€" erton, formerly of this city. Mrs. Brotherton is a daughter of the late Abbie D. Bastin, who taught for over thirty years in the Highland Park schools. Early Highland Parkers will reâ€" member that Mr. and Mrs. Brotherâ€" ton were married here in 1916 in the old Bastin home at the corner of Lincoln and St. Johns avenuesâ€" now the Robert Clark residence. Mr. Brotherton died Sunday, May 9, at the hospital in Ellensburg, Washington, following an operation for the removal of his gall bladder. During the first years of their married life the Brothertons lived in Michigan, but of recent years they have been in the far west.
