THURSDAY, AUGUST 5, 1987 DEERFIELDS PARK The only park in the Village of Deerfield is the triangular piece of ground west of Waukegan goad, with its other two boundary linesâ€" Hazel Ave. and: Journal place. The park has been uncared for the past year and the beautiful stone bench, a gift of the Deerfield Garden club, has been broken. The newly or ganâ€" ized Civic Association of Deerfield made a request recently to Townâ€" ship Supervisor James O‘Connor to ascertain if relief labor could care for the plot. The past week, through the supervisor‘s office, the grass was eut, bushes trimmed, .and the grounds well cared for. It will not be a hayfield again this summer.
