Let your vacation get inside of you. Make the beautiful things you see a part of you. Atune eyes and ears and touch and smell and sou} to all the things you wish to treasure in your heart. s Bring back rainbows viewed from mountain tops, moonâ€" beams on rippling streams, sunséts, purple clouds, cathedrar spires against the sky, the glowing coals of a campfire, the song of birds in early morning, whirling rapids, water tumâ€" bling over rocks, the sudden bend in the road revealing an inâ€" spiring view of white capped waves beating on a rock bound coast, the smell of bacon frying, a glimpse of deer borunding through the woods. The month of September brings to mind that many of our neighbors are returning from vacations. They always return with a new appreciation of the many satisfactions that go with living in Highland Park. The town is so beautiful, so efficient for the business of living that it not only holds the interest of those who have lived here but also, it cannot fail to attract newcomers with everâ€"increasing force. During the summer there have been built many new homes, now occupied by peoâ€" ple who have recognized the brighter prospect of a happy home for themselves and their families. Several New Names Added to Faculty List in Dist. 108 Miss Jane Hudson who has uught‘ the Kindergarten for the past few years will not return to work this year at Lincoln school. Her place will be taken by Leila Coldren Dodge who formerly taught in Raâ€" vinia. Mrs. Dodge is a graduate of the National College of Education and the district is fortunate indeed to secure her services again. Vacations offer us an opportunity to hang new, fresh inâ€" spiring pictures in the Art Gallery of our minds. _ _Highland Park has not reached its present stage without difficulties. In particularâ€"the radical change in\ values, assoâ€" clated with the world economic crisis of 1929 onwards, conâ€" siderably checked the progress of the town. We have in mind several real estate developments that were carefully planned and into which much money was invested in municipal servâ€" ices, only to wither under the stress of the times. Within the past year we have noticed a new life in the Braeside section, particularly. Marion avenue, west of Green Bay road, had not a single home in its one hundred homesights one year ago. Today there are eleven new homes, another unâ€" der construction and nine more in prospect this fall and winâ€" ter. This is an inspiring comeâ€"back and we notice with particuâ€" lar interest the charm and character of the new homes in this section of our city. & » Miss Edith Phillips will take over remedial work with Miss Hunt and her work in third grade assigned to Mrs. Margaret Harvey who has taught fifth grade for several years. The program was broadcast from the Sunset Valley club. Heard on the program were, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly, their three sons, Tommy, Bobby and George, Mrs. Mary Kelly, Gerritt Thorne, attorâ€" ney, Miss Mary Cullen and Bill Bigâ€" ley. Mr. Thorne and Miss Cullen were interviewed as guests of the club while Billy spoke as a caddy.
