THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1927 John Wilson Buried Jolhn Wilson, who has lived with his brother James, caretaker of the Deenfield Country club on Saunders road for the past several years, was killed when hit by an automoâ€" bile on Tuesday evening, November 16, as he walked on Rand road near Des Plaines. Funeral services were held in Des Plaines on Monday aftâ€" ernnon and interment was made in Ridgewood cemetery, on Milwaukee ave. He is survived by his brother, James Wilson and his mother, Mrs. Emily Wilson, age 85 years, who also lives at the James Wilson home. DEERFIELD LOCALS William Neville Dies William Neville, age 77, passed away at his home on Elm street, Deerfield, on Wednesday, November 18, after a short illness. Funeral services were held on Saturday aftâ€" ernoon at the Deerfield Presbyterian church with Dr. W. F. Weir officiatâ€" ing, and burial was in Mooney‘s cemetery on Ridge road in Highâ€" land Park. Mr. Neville was born at Watson, TIl., a son of Elisha and Eliza Anne Forth Neville on June 19, 1860. He was married to Miss Ann May Mills in Watson on April 28, 1881, and three years later they moved to Deâ€" Witt, Neb., where their only child, Fern (Mrs. Roy Dobbins) was born. Five years later they returned to Watson; moving from there to Des Plaines and then to this vicinity ‘where they have lived for the past twenty years. s On April 28,, 1931, the Nevilles célebrated their Golden Wedding anâ€" niversary at their Elm street home with more than 200 friends and relatives attendign the reception during the day. 5 Mr. Neville was an active memâ€" ber of the Presbyterian church for many years, serving as an elder for 39 years. Of pioneer ancestors in the vicinâ€" ity of Watson his background was most interesting. His great grandâ€" parents came to Illincis from Virâ€" ginia and were the first to settle in Watson, III. The stories of these pioneers have been handed down for genierations and Mr. Neville deâ€" lighted in telling these stories to his grandchildren. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Mary Neville; one daughter, Fern Dobbins of Arlington Heights; six grandchildren, W. Raymond, Paul, Floyd, Annabelle, Dorothy and Marjory Marie; four great grandchildren; one brother, John Neville of Watson; and a half brother, Otto Lecrone of Sullivan, J 7 f ThaAksgiving Service .. â€" The .Rev. Father J. V. Murphy of the Holy Cross church in Deerfield announces that Thursday of this week is Thanksgiving Day. As it is a holiday set apart by proclamaâ€" tion of the President there will be no school. By custom there is no school on the following day either.
