Melville, daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Charles Melville of Ridgewood drive, was pledged last week to Theta Sigma Phi, naâ€" tional professional honorary sororâ€" ity for women in journalism at Northwestern university, Entrance into the sorority is based primarily upon scholarship, potentialities in the writing field, personality, faculty recommendation and extraâ€"curricular activities. DAR INMANâ€"HILDA SHERMAN MARRIED Mr. William Henry Shanks of Spirit River, Canada, is visiting his daughter, Mrs. William Knoâ€" bloch of Fort Sheridan, whom Mr. Shanks had not seen for twentyâ€"two Mr. and Mrs. John Sherman of Ramsay, Michigan, announce the marriage of their daughter Hilda Elaine of Highland Park to Darwin Elisworth Inman, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Inman of 594 Vine aveâ€" nue. The very simple wedding took place at the parsonage of the Bethâ€" any Evangelical church at 4 o‘clock last Saturday afternoon with the Rev. H. F. Siemsen officiating. The bride wore a blue crepe dress and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and roses. < Her sister and brotherâ€"inâ€" law, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pankâ€" man, were the young couple‘s only attendants. The wedding dinner and reception was held at the Pankâ€" man‘s home on Deerfield avenue imâ€" mediately following the ceremony. The newlyweds have taken an apartâ€" ment in the Obee building on Pleasâ€" ant street, Highwood. Mrs. Stanley Pankman and Mrs. E. M. Inman entertained at a showâ€" er for the former Miss Sherman last Thursday evening. HELEN JEFFRIES WEDDING DEC. 18 Helen Jeffries, daughter of Mr. and Mrs., Robert Moore Jeffries, and Allan Crawfurdâ€"Price of London, England, will be married the eveâ€" ning of Saturday, Dec. 18, in Trinâ€" ity Episcopal church in Highland Park.
