PAGE TWELVE TIN WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clavey cele brated their tenth wedding anniverâ€" sary on Saturday evening at a large gathering at the Deerfield Masonic Temple. There were over one hunâ€" dred guests. An orchestra led by Edward Shultis of Waukegan (couâ€" sin of Mrs, Clavey) provided the music. ‘The Claveys were the reâ€" cipients of many beautiful gifts. Mr. Clavey is a member of the firm, Clavey‘s Ravinia Nurseries; a diâ€" rector of the Wilmot grade school, and a trustee of the Union Drainâ€" age District No. 1. Their home is on Spruce street and they are subâ€" stantial residents of the community. Mrs.. Clavey is the former Irene Cashmore. Their many friends wish them a long and happy life together. The Ladies‘ Aid society of St. Paul‘s church will sponsor a bake ‘Bale on Saturday, March 12, beginâ€" ning at 10 a.m., at the Deerfield Grocery and Market. Mrs. E. P. "The Deerfield Grammar School Parentâ€"Teacher Association will hold an evening meeting tomorrow, March 11, at 8 o‘clock in the school. Principal Carl E. Bates and the members of the faculty will be in their respective rooms to greet the parents and to present an exhibit of the classroom work of all the pupils. At the conclusion of the exhibit a social hour will be held in the gymâ€" nasium and refreshments will be served. ELECTION The â€"annualâ€"election â€"forâ€"trustee for Union Drainage District One (which includes part of Northfield township and the west portion of West Deerfleld township) will be held on Saturday, March 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Wilmot school. BANNOCKBURN CLUB Bannockburn Garden club met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Del Lupton on Valley road. Troy Standard of the Garfield Park Conservatory, Chicago, spoke on "Propogation of Plants from Seeds." ~ The session and trustees of the Presbyterian church met Tuesday evening at the home of Dr. W. F. Weir to arrange for the annual proâ€" gram and the financing of the church for the coming year. On Sunday. morning, March 20, there will be the worshipâ€"pledging service when members will publicly present their pledge cards. John and Ralph Willen will enâ€" tertain the young people of the Presbyterian church at a St. Paâ€" trick‘s party on Friday evening, March 18, at their home on Springâ€" field avenue. On Sunday the Wilsons were dinner guests at the home of Mr. Wilson‘s brother, Herbert Wilson, in Wauâ€" kegan. Mr. and Mrs. George Stryker of Chicago have a son, Douglas Eddy, born on January 26. The baby is the first grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Stryker of Orchard lane, Mr. and Mrs. Carl T. Anderson attended the funeral of Mrs. Harper in Elgin on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Harper is the mother of Mrs. Anne Daniels of Highland Park. A marriage license was issued in Waukegan last week to John Jenâ€" sen, 30, of Deerfield, and Amelia Alma Lindberg, 26, of Lake Forest. The Lawrence Gloden family is now situated on the C. C. Voss farm near Prairie View. The Glodens are former residents here. Mrs. Eugene F, Engelhard of Wilmot road was one of the soloists at the concert given Tuesday eveâ€" ning by the Northbrook Community chorus at the Northbrook school. Mrs. Engelhard is a cellist. The greater part of the labor in the remodeling of the West Deerâ€" field Town Hall is being supplied through relief work. . Mr. and Mrs, Auston Plagge and family of Hines, IIl., spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. William F. Plagge. Mrs. Carl T. Anderson will be hostess to members of the Contract Bridge club at luncheon on next Thursday at her home on Chestnut street. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Fredricks and son, Marshall, visited at the Howâ€" ard Helm home in Arlington Heights on Tuesday evening. Mr. Fredricks‘ cousin, Mrs. Howard Held, passed away on Monday. Williams, landscape painter of Nashville, Brown county, Indiana, visited his daughter, Mrs. Frank W. Russo in February while exhibiting at the Hoosier Salon.
