PAGE TEN HVALE FORGE The blacksmith shop east of the Deerfleld depot has been leased by Leander Hvale and his son, James, for their artistic shop, "Hvale Forge." The building, of good lines and fine possibilities, is to be paintâ€" ed white and will have green shutâ€" ters. Peter Kamminga, the pres ent occupant, will continue to have his blacksmith shop there, also. The Hvales started their shop in their own home just as a hobby but the business has increased to such proâ€" portions that they are now taking a big shop. Mr. and Mrs. Hvale and family moved on Saturday from the attractive rustic house on Mill road owned by King Wooten and are now living in Lake Bluff. Fireâ€"broke out in the former Knickerbocker house on Waukegan road on Saturday afternoon and the entire roof and upper part of the house were damaged. Mrs. Marâ€" garet McGarvie had recently sold the house to Harry E. Wing. It had been made ready for May first occupancy and the rubbish was beâ€" ing burned in the furnace. Sparks caught the roof on fire and spread rapidly to the entire upper part of of the house. A defective chimney was the cause of the fire and the loss is estimated at $2500. Mr. and Mrs. W, R. Turgeon of Park Ridge, who were to have moved in on May first, will take one of the Wing apartments on Deerfleld road until repairs are completed. The loss is fully covered by insurance. ; FIRE PLAY TOMORROW NIGHT The Stagers, Deerfleld Dramatic Society, will present the third and last of this year‘s series of plays tomorrow evening, May 6, in the Deerfield Grammar School gymnasâ€" ium. M TOWNSHIP CONTROL AMATEUR SHOW A convention is being held in Danville this week from Wednesâ€" day through Friday where the pending legislation of state or local control of relief will be discussed by Township Supervisors. A speâ€" cial session of the legislature is being called by Governor Horner in about two weeks at which time it is expected that a merger of all relief agencies will be considered. Lake county supervisors do not apâ€" prove the plan of county and state control, and many other counties also disapprove. Supervisor W. W. Steele of Deerfield township is a member of the Lake county delegaâ€" tion now at Danville.
