PAGE TWO The Highland Park High School Girls "Y" club will bring its year‘s activities to a close Wednesday, May 25 with a hike followed by an outâ€" door supper at the home of Miss Alice Pfister program chairman of the group. This will be the first meeting attended by the club‘s new advisor, Mrs. Arthur Fathauer, who succeeds Mrs. Andrew Bradt. Senâ€" ior members of the club will be speâ€" cially feted, including the retiring president, Miss Miriam Wickman, and the two other senior board memâ€" bers, Miss Jean Simon and Miss Maâ€" rian Musser. The 1938â€"39 board for the "Y" club will consist of: seniorsâ€"Leone Jenson, Peggy Juhrend and Jessie Sunset Valley Golf Club Sponsors Novel Sportsmen Award Sunset Valley Golf Club has anâ€" nounced the introduction of Spring Sportsmen‘s Awards offering Duke of Dundee Airâ€"Conditioned briar pipes as prizes. Members and guests of the club are eligible to win the awards, which are given to any man who scores a birdie and an eagle while playing a round of the course, A descriptive poster picturing the prizes and giving comâ€" plete details is now on dipslay in the clubhouse. Freshmen members of the board will be chosen next fall from the first year girls. Twentyâ€" seven class A bands in all from the states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan qualified for the ‘finale at Elkhart. Of these seven‘were all national champions in years past H. 8.
