ROYAL NEIGHBORS The Deerfield Camp of Royal Neighbors will sponsor a bingo party for their next regular meetâ€" ing on Thursday evening, June 23, in the newly remodeled Town Hall. Members of the garden departâ€" ment : of the Deerfield Women‘s club, of which Mrs. Carl Frick is chairman, conducted a tour of local gardens to view iris and peonies last Tuesday afternoon. They met at the depot to look at the work of the former Deerfield Garden club and from there visited the gardens at the homes of George Karch and his daughter, Mrs. Paul Dietz; the C. E. Piper, George Engstrom, Anâ€" thony Mercurio, Richard Farmer, and William Aitken gardens and ended at the C. W. Boyle home, where they saw the Boyle garden and had tea. GARDENS PAGE TEN Edgeley Todd, who has ntundeg ‘Northwestern university: this pas year doing post graduate work and acting as a proctor, has accepted a position as organist for the Scott Undertaking Co. at Wilmette and Evanston. Mr. Todd will continue to live on the University campus. David Stryker, who received his degree from Lake Forest last Satâ€" urday, will have his own orchestra at The Pagoda, for the summer. Mr, Stryker expects to work for his Master‘s degree this fall. It is inâ€" teresting to note that both Mr. Todd and Mr. Stryker were piano pupils of Miss Frances Biederstadt and both are graduates of Lake Forest college. A number of other young men who studied with Miss Biederstadt, also have orchestra positions in Chicago. Miss Jean Brand received her Master‘s degree at the University of Illinois this week, where she has majored in library work. John â€" Engstrom has â€" remained down at Urbana this week to play in the U. of Illinois band. Miss Olive Frantz, who received her deâ€" gree at North Central college, is staying at Naperville for several weeks more, assisting in the regisâ€" trar‘s office. AND Miss June Nelson, who returned home from Northern Illinois State Teacher‘s college at DeKalb, on Wednesday, will start a play class for small children again this sumâ€" mer. ‘The beginning date will be the first week in July. Miss Doris Hunter, who has been a laboratory technician at St. Luke‘s hospital the past year, is now head technician at the Willard hospital in Autsin. Miss Hunter, the daughter of the Paul Hunters of Westgate road, received her deâ€" gree at the University of Chicago last June. She was graduated with high honors at the Deerfield Gramâ€" mar school, the Deerfleldâ€"Shields high school and at the U. of Chiâ€" cago. Mr. George Engstrom has been home from his work the past six weeks because of illness, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Jordan and two children are leaving today for a three week‘s vacation trip. They will go to Davenport, lows, to visit Mrs. Jordan‘s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred D. Hills and durâ€" ing the latter part of their vacaâ€" tion will go tc their summer cotâ€" tage at Corey Lake, near Three Rivers, Mich., Rev. and Mrs. F. G. Piepenbrok and sons will have their vacation from their duties at St. Paul‘s church, the first two weeks in July. The first Sunday in July there will be no services at St. John‘s church in Highland Park, nor at St. Paul‘s church, Deerfleld The following Sunday a visiting pastor will ocâ€" eupy both pulpits. Teddy Clavey; son of the Harry Claveys, is spending the summ» the home of his maternal grandparâ€" ents, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. St. Peter in Waukegan. Mrs. F. G. Piepenbrok has reâ€" turned home from San Antonio Texas, where her mother, Mrs. Louise Haase, was very ill. Mrs. Piepenbrok took her mother to the home of another daughter in New Franklin, Missouri, where she will remain for a while. Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Margot Wilde, a graduate from the Bannockburn Grammar school was among the fifty students in highest scholastic rating in rural Lake county schools, as recently anâ€" nounced by county superintendent of Public Instruction W. C. Petty. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Siljestrom and daughters of Saunders road were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Olson in Tampico, IIl. The Olsons }!ormarly lived in Highland Park. â€" Mrs. John T. Beckman Sr, of Saunders road will be hostess this afternoon to the CCC girls. Mr. and Mrs. James Mailfald and family of Wilmot road visited at the A. C. Thompson home in Evâ€" anston on Friday. Mrs. Edward Horenberger of West Deerficid road was hostess to Circle One of St. ‘Paul‘s church last Thursday evening at her home. Mr. and Mrs, Harry Baum and two children are spending the week with Mrs. . Baum‘s mother, Mrs. Flag, in North Judson, Ind. Mrs. June Spoor and Mrs, H. Strickland of North Chicago were hostesses at a stork shower last Wednesday evening in compliment to Mrs. John T.
