Several reasons are evident as to why American money is being inâ€" vested in British television. The British are able to enjoy four hours a day of television that is as clear as any motion picture. As far as is known there are over nine thousand private receiving sets in London alone. At the prunt time in Amerâ€" ica the largest interests experimentâ€" ing in television are: largely conâ€" trolled by motion picture industries who are in no hurry for television. Furthermore the only method of television production that is capaâ€" ble of presenting a direct continuity picture over television is not conâ€" trolled by these concerns. In short those at present representing Amerâ€" ican television are skeptical about opening up a field that they are unâ€" able to keep control of, in addition to squnding the death knell of the movies.
