Handâ€" work, quilts, canned goods, ete., in fact anything you would find at a county fair, except live animals, will be welcome. VILLAGE FAIR LOST At the end of the school year at the Deerfleld Grammar school quite a number of sweaters, caps, mittens, zym shoes and etc. were left unâ€" elaimed in the school lost and found. ‘All of these materials were taken around from room to room to be claimed but children didn‘t claim a large part of the items. The Deerâ€" field Grammar school wishes to anâ€" nounce that parents may call at the office of the‘school any morning next week except Thursday to check over these items. After this time, it is planned to send the balance to agencies for the needy in the comâ€" munity. SUMMER SCHOOL ‘There are six boys enrolled in summer school so they call it the "Boys‘ club." They are learning all about aviation, and plan‘ to take some trips to the Great Lakes Trainâ€" ing Station, Fort Sheridan, and the Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Muhlke had as their visitors this past Sunday Mrs. Muhlke‘s brother and sisterâ€" inâ€"law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snyder of DeRidder, Louisiana, and their daughterâ€"inâ€"law, ‘Mrs. Elmer Snyâ€" der, Miss Marie Bleimehl, and Miss Vernette Hanneford of Chicago. Mrs. Elmer Snyder with Miss Vernette will leave shortly for the Canal Zone, where she will join her husband, who has recently . been transferred from Chicago to a splenâ€" did position with the United States government as electrical designer working on the Panama Canal. This item will be of interest to those resâ€" idents of Deerfield who remember Mr. Snyder and also to the friends of the Muhlkes. : > ‘A sad bit of news is the death of Mrs. Harvey Stryker at her home at Carney‘s Point, near Wilmingâ€" ton, in New Jersey.
