Registrations for Adult Education New Term Dec. 4â€"11 Book Fair Dec. 1â€"2 at Ridge School Remember the Book Fair that will be held at Ridge school on Friâ€" day and Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2. Barrett, state auditor, has announced that he has authorâ€" ized payment of a 9 per cent diviâ€" dend, amounting to $14,117.97, to the depositors of the Highwood State bank, Highwood, Illinois. This is the seventh and final dividend to be paid since the bank closed bringing the total paid up to 92 percent. The checks were given out November 22. This payment is from ordinary liquidation. Heppner, a sister, Miss Catherine Yager, of Highland Park, and a brother, Frank Yager, of Chicago. She was a memâ€" ber of the Royal Neighbors lodge of Highland Park. â€" Mrs. Clnyw_;l was the daughter of the late Victor and Barbara Yaâ€" Funeral services were conducted from the Luloff Funeral home to St. Mary‘s Catholic church and burial was at St. Mary‘s cemetery, Colby, Wis. Mrs. Elizabeth Clayton, whose birthplace was what is now known as Sunset Manor, Highland Park, died at the home of her daughâ€" ter, Mrs. Robert C. Heppner, at Colby, Wis., Nov. 20, of a heart ailâ€" ment, following an extended illness. Frank Merriman, 43 years old, 639 Central avenue, died suddenly Tuesâ€" day while at work in the Chicago and North Western office in Chiâ€" cago, where he was a chief freight rate clerk. Mr. Merriman had been employed by the North Western for the past 25 years. Funeral services will be held Friâ€" day morning at 10 o‘clock from St. James church, Highwood. Frank Merriman Dies Suddenly While at Work Tuesday West Ridge Community Club will hold their regular meeting Tuesâ€" day evening, Dec. 5, at 8 o‘clock, at West Ridge school. Mr. Barnes who has made several trips to the Orient will give a very interesting lecture. Persons who have not attended The evening will come to a close with delicious refreshments. Persons interested in a Model Airâ€" plane class may attend our class on Monday evening free of charge. There is also no charge for our class in conversational French which is also held on Monday evenings. West Ridge Club Meets Tuesday Night Prof, Tracy E. Strevey will give his last talk on our Current Afâ€" fairs program next Wednesday eveâ€" ning. Mrs. Tooze owns the Book Box in Evansâ€" ton and is recognized as an authorâ€" jity on books of all kinds. She will be at the school on Wednesday also and will be happy to advise and help in the selection of books for chilâ€" dren and adults. The Book Fair at the Braeside school will open Tuesday afternoon December 5th and continue through Tuesday evening and all day Wedâ€" nesday, December 6th. Book Fair Dec. 5 at Braeside School Mrs. M. R. McDonald Dies Suddenly Monday Mrs. Martha Robertson, whose birthplace was Scotland, died Satâ€" urday, Nov. 25, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Ross, 1413 Wildwood lane. Funeral services were held Monday with interment in Northshore Garden of Memories. Besides her daughter she leaves a son, John Ross, who resides in Evâ€" anston, and four other sons who reâ€" side in other countries. An inquest, held Monday into the death of Mrs. Maude Reed MeDonâ€" ald, 55, 335 Hazel avenue, who died suddenly Monday morning, disclosed that death was caused by coronary thrombosis. Capt. Nicholas R. MeDonald of Fort Sheridan rushed to the Highâ€" land Park police station exclaiming that his wife had fainted and he was unable to arouse her. A physiâ€" cian was called, and after examining Mrs. McDonald, pronounced her Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o‘clock at Kelley‘s chapel on N. Sheridan road. Mrs. M. Three one act plays are to be presented by the Junior Walther League in the assembly room of the Redeemer Lutheran church on West Central avenue, on Friday evening, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. The group of young people who gathered at the "Y" last Friday night had a splendid time and found Mr. Martine and his class filled a long felt need. The series is to be continued and the next one will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 15. Registration is limited to fifty couâ€" ples. Instruction begins at 8:30, doors elosing at 9 p.m. Registrations are coming in so rapidly it is urgent that all who wish to join, get in touch with the "Y". Pinochle and 66 can be played.
