Sheridan Raymond Molendi Invites Public to Visit Alycon Plant Mr. Leo Sheets, plant manager, will be happy to answer questions and explain the latest methods of Dry Cleaning, as well as to demonâ€" strate the new machinery recently installed to those who visit the Alâ€" cyon Cleaners. Mr. Sheets is deepâ€" ly enthused over the new equipâ€" ment, and assures the public that their visit will not only be interestâ€" ing but educational as well. Mr. Molendi, owner of the Alcyon Cleaners, was formerly president and manager of John Zengler, Inc., from which position he reigned in 1936 to establish a cleaning and pressing establishment at Great Lakes. In 1937 he purchased the Unique Cleaners _ (now _ Alcyon Cleaners) and since that time has expanded, installing complete and modern cleaning equipment. The office of the Alcyon Cleaners has been remodeled and streamlined fixtures and furniture installed, creâ€" ating a "salon" effect in the recepâ€" tion room. hes The public will be welcomed at any time to inspect the plant and Mr. Molendi extends a special inviâ€" tation to his many patrons to visit the newly equipped plant at their earliest convenience. Courad, son of the late Matthias and Francis Conrad, died suddenly last Friday afternoon at 3:30 c‘clock st the home of his sisâ€" ter Mrs. Helen Golden, 122 McGovâ€" ern street. Mr. Conrad whose home was in Rogers Park had been ill with heart trouble for the four years. He had come to E:flmd Park earlier in the week to spend a few days with his sister. Born in Northbrook, he came to Highland Park with his family in 1895, where he received his early training and education. He was a member of the first graduating class from Deerfieldâ€"Shields High school (now Highland Park High school). He attended law school, and for many years has been engaged in the investment brokerage business. He married Miss Vera Voss of Chicago. Funeral services were held Monâ€" day afternoon at 2 o‘clock from Ed. Sullivan‘s mortuary in Chicago. Burial was in Memorial Park cemâ€" Mr. Conrad is survived by his wife Vera Voss two daughters, Laverne of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Arâ€" lene Davidson of Chicago, one grandson, Holly Dale, a sister, Mrs. Helen Golden of this city and two brothers, Matthias H. of Highland Park and George F. of Lake Worth, Fla. Community Choral Club Gives Spring Concert, Tuesday On Tuesday evening, May 7Tth at 8:30 the spring concert of the Comâ€" munity Choral club will be given at the Highland Park Woman‘s elub auditorium, Sheridan road and Elm place.
