Enter Tryouts For Home Talent Week In preparation of North Shore Home Talent week, to be directed by radio station WLS, tryout days will be held May 14 to May 16. All participants in recent minstrel and amateur shows in the region are parâ€" ticularly invited to be present, and all those who have ability as comeâ€" dians, singers, instrumentalists, danâ€" cers, or "what have you" are urged to participate in this big event. Maude Willis has been selected to direct the Home Talent show. The first tryout day will be held Tuesday, May 14, at the Wilmette Woman‘s Club while the second two will be held Wednesday and Thursâ€" day, May 15â€"16 at Winnetka Comâ€" munity house. 2 0_ All men, women and children with ability to entertain an audience are invited to participate. Miss Clavey wore a gray and yelâ€" low "square dance" street dress, typâ€" ical of next summer‘s gay, washable fashions. ‘The longâ€"sleeved shirtâ€" waist blouse was in canary yellow, the full skirt gay with canary stripes. Perfect for dress, resort wear or business, it drew applause from the 250 women who attended the party. Charming Belles Of Deerfield Show New Spring Styles Villa pajamas, another name for the new soft slacks and shirt, were modeled by Ta Meister. The South American red and yellow combinaâ€" tion was used .to design a yellow blouse, red paisley print slacks, with a teal blue cummerbund. Mrs. Irving Brand was stunning in a navy blue with dainty white Vâ€"neck collar, and white buttons down the front. A new idea in collar and cuff sets appeared on a navy blue dress, trimâ€" med with gay eyelet embroidery at throat and wrist. Fun to wear were the promotion dresses, printed with Greyhound bus and Planters Peaâ€" nuts emblems. Other attractive garments modâ€" eled by the young women were a summer wool suit in yellow with gold buttons, a pale coral and white sweater and turban set, a longâ€"torso blue polka dot silk suit, and a quaint flower striped cotton dress. Tops in practicality was a blue striped chambray pinafore, buttolt down the back, with a sas}t and w skirt of unpressed pleats. A variety of pretty blouses might be worn to vary the outfit. The mannequins were Marian Bjork, Mrs. E. F. Nelson, Mrs. Pat Harrington, Miss Muriel Hilborn, Miss Meister, Miss Gooder and Miss Clavey. Mrs. Alex Willman was the genâ€" eral chairman of the party.
