Released on Bond Following Assault On Two Policemen Wallace Loverin Clark, 39, 276 Cedar avenue, was released on bond Monday and bound over to the grand jury on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, as the result of an attack with a pistol on three Highland Park policemen. Police officers James Berube and Jack Ohlwein responded to a call to Clark‘s home Monday morning about 1:40 o‘clock in answer to a disturbance call. When the two enâ€" tered the residence Clark hid beâ€" hind the front door, took the officers by surprise and seized theit guns. While holding the guns, Officer Beâ€" rube‘s gun was accidentally disâ€" charged, but no one was hit. Hearing the shot, Policeman Lehr who was waiting outside in the squad car, rushed into the house. As he entered the door, the police say that Clark fired a shot at Lehr, which missed. Lehr threw himsel{ at Clark, knocked him to the floor, and with the aid of the other two officers, disarmed him.
