Channon Bowes, 176 Laurel avâ€" enue, took another step of achieveâ€" ment at the Culver Summer schools this week when he won the Silver Tuxis medal after successfully comâ€" pleting a series of requirements in the various fields of activity in which the students indulge during the summer courses. This was Bowes first summer at Culver as a midshipman in Comâ€" pany 111 of the Naval battalion, and winning the bronze and silver tuxis both in the first summer is a real accomplishment. Bowes returned home this week following the final exercises. Other Highland Parkers who reâ€" turned also were Julian Harold Kraâ€" mer, 373 Orchard lane, and Richard Schaaf, 200 Ravine drive. Kramer was a first summer middie in Comâ€" pany 11, while Schaaf was a first summer trooper in the Cavalry school. . A combined farewell party for the Clinton Strykers and surprise party for the Rev. Siemsens was given Tuesday evening by the Bethany Evangelical church congregation in the church parlors. The Strykers left Wednesday for their new home in Milwauke and Rev. and Mrs. Siemsen were celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary. Rev. and Mrs. E. S.
