The Highland Park Ladies league wound up the bowling season last Thursday evening with a dinner at Sunset Valley Golf club. The dinner was served at 9 p.m. following bowling. LADIES BOWLING LEAGUE WINDS UP SEASON, THURSDAY The women‘s first aid team of the North Shore Line demonstrated the evolution of artificial respiration at the Zion Chamber of Commerce‘s annual safety meeting in the Zionâ€" Benton high school Tuesday eveâ€" ning, May 13. The principal speakâ€" er at the meeting was Dr. Hart E. Fisher, chief surgeon for the North Shore Line and Chicago Rapid Transit Lines and consulting surâ€" geon for the Public Service Comâ€" pany of Northern Illinois. Dr. Fishâ€" er has been active in safety promoâ€" tion work for more than 25 years. The demonstration will be under the direction of Charles A. Waite, veteran first aid instructor of the North Shore Line. The members of the team are Frances Tourtelotte, Kenosha; Mathilda Hehner, Highâ€" land Park; Elvira Beneventi, Highâ€" wood; Pearl Moreland, Lake Forâ€" est; Luella Attridge, Lake Bluff; Alice Ulfers, Libertyville; Bernice Schwab and Virginia Sabonjan, Waukegan, and Frances Walker, Chicago, Pete Stewart ended the season as high scorer of the Masonic league with an average of 179. High single game was won by Walker Flinn with 254, and Bert Brand a close second with 253. High series was captaured by Don Bruce with 631 and Walker Flinn‘ closed second with 260. WOMEN‘S FIRST AID TEAM OF N. S. LINE GIVES DEMONSTRATION Friday evening, the Masonic Bowling league will end the season with a banquet at Sunset Valley golf club. Eight teams, namely, the Deacons, Compasses, Squares, Felâ€" low Craft, Wardens, Stewards, Masâ€" ters, and Arcanum, comprise this league. The Deacons were the top notchers with 62 games won and 40 lost, with an average of 774. ‘The Arcanum team ended in the cellar with 46 won and 56 lost.
