Civil Service Commission has just announced that persons exâ€" perienced as superintendents of conâ€" struction are being sought for the Federal Service. Positions exist in the United States and foreign countries. Salaries range from $3,200 to $6,500 a year. 12 Applicants will be rated on their experience and training. From 7 to 12 years of appropriate experience in the field of construction are required. Provision is made for the substituâ€" tion of college courses in engineerâ€" ing, for part of the experience. Duâ€" ties are to direct large construction projects, coordinating the work of folr:men, orguuhii:. men and :nr- inls, supervisi specting materialy w The announement for Superintenâ€" dent of Construction is the first isâ€" sued by the Civil Service Commission since the new War Service Regulaâ€" tions went into effect on March 16, 1942. Appointments generally will be for the duration of the war but in any case will not last for more than 6 months after the war. There are no age limits. Applicants must be filed with the United States Civil Service Commission, Washingâ€" ton, D.
