More than 20,000 pesrons are expecâ€" ted to attend the colorful event, the proceeds from which will be used to carry on the various enterprises now sponsored by the Bundles for America. Among these activities are the caring for needs of men in America‘s armed forces now in training in the Chicago area. The organization includes among its many projects the supplying of comâ€" fort kits for soldiers, sailors and Coast Guardsmen and the making of layettes for wives of service men. In keeping with the country‘s conservation proâ€" gram, Bundles for America will soon engage in the supervision of salvage materials in the various salvage work centers in the Chicagoland area. Mrs. Arthur Sullivan, 830 Hill Road, Plans for one of Chicago‘s largest and most colorful dances, to be staged by and for the benefit of Bundles for America, were announced this week by Mrs. Edwin C. In addition to the community chairâ€" men and their committee members who are now selling coupon books in their own territories, coupon books may be obtained at the following agencies : Ravinia concerts will begin on Tuesday evening; June 30, with a conâ€" cert by the Chicago Symphony Orâ€" chestra under the direction of the noted Greek conductor, Dimitri Miâ€" tropoulos, whose regular post is with the Minneapolis Symphony. It will be Mr. Mitropoulos‘ Ravinia debut. Joe Farina worked under the direction of Waiter Durbahn, direcâ€" tor of the Trade School, and was asâ€" sisted by Peter Carlson and Harold Fallos. The original plans for the design were procured from Carleton College at. Northfield, Minnesota. Carleton has an arboretum extending : over many acres and filled with countless forms of plant and bird life. They call these signs "Kiosks" at Carleton. and many of them are scattered throughout the Arboretum,.each conâ€" taining a well protected information file of trees, shrubs, birds, insects or flowers as the case may be. The Rose Garden Kiosk will conâ€" tain under glass on the one side, a detailed map of the hundreds of fine rose specimens in the garden. The public may learn from the map the proper names of their favorite roses. ‘The other side of the board will have a map of the ravine planting at the rear of the Rose Garden. ‘The Ravinâ€" ia Garden Club has planted the raâ€" vine with wild ,flowers, which will eventually be a blanket of color in the spring. The Rose Garden, a part of the loâ€" cal Park Board, is a project of the Ravinia Garden Club, and has been developed for many years by members of the club. Mrs. L., F.
