This chapter is the oldest in the state, and was formed soon after the national society was organized, and all through the years has stood for the best im patriotic education, contributed in moâ€" ney and service to community projects and endeavors, maintained scholarships in many schools throughout the counâ€" try, where educational privileges are very limited, and had a significant part in the work at Ellis island.
