The maid of honor, in green satin and marquisette, and the bridesmaid, in a similar gown of orchid, carried white chrysantheâ€" mums and double daisies. The men of the bridal party wore semiâ€" tuxedo suits with white coats. Atâ€" tending the groom was Oswald Mazzetti, and Michael O‘Brien served as usher. Other attendants were Karen Jean Reynolds, flower girl, dressed in yellow with yellow ribbons and bandeau, carrying chrysanthemums and daisies, and Vincent Leonard Quarta, in white, who carried the rings for the double ring ceremony on a white satin pillow. The ceremony was followed by breakfast at the home of the bridegroom, and Chicago House, Wheeling, was the scene of the dinner â€"«and reception, later. As mementos of the occasion the bride‘s attendants were preâ€" sented with rhinestone necklaces, and the men of the bridal party received tie clips. _ After a hone.ymoon in the north, the couple will live at 316 Highâ€" wood avenue, Highwood. GARDEN WEDDING On Saturday, August 21, the garden of the B. J Boehms, 753 Mr. Walter Rietz Jr. served his brother as best man. Ushering were Elroy Langill, Tom Simpson, Frank Walls, Robert Rietz, brother of the groom, and Kurt, Robert, William and Edgar Boehm, brothâ€" ers of the bride The wedding was followed by a reception in the garden. After a wedding trip to the west the couple will make their home at 2616 West Park avenue. PHYLLIS SNOW CHAPMAN MUCHâ€"FETED BRIDE ELECT The wedding of Miss Phyllis Snow Chapman of Wilmette and John Whitley Lanigan of Highland Park, planned for Aguust 28, has been preceded by a gay round of parties and showers which began last spring with a shower given at the Alpha Phi house at Depauw university, where Miss Chapman is a student, by sorority sisters Misâ€" ses Lois Reedy and Norma Bailey. During July Miss Sally Armâ€" strong of Kenilworth was hostess at a luncheon and kitchen shower, followed by a luncheon and shower given the next week at the home af Mrs. John Schneider of Winâ€" of Mrs. John Schneider of netka. August festivities were led by Mrs. Leslic H. Hanawalt of Wilâ€" mette who gave a tea and recipe shower on the 5th. Smarts, 99 Syâ€" camore place, with their three teenâ€"age youngsters, Jack, DeeDee and Allen, have just returned from a sevenâ€"weeks‘ trip through Eurâ€" ope. Jack, the eldest, a graduate of Lake Forest academy, plans to enter Michigan U. this fall. DeeDee, a junior, and Allen, a freshman, will attend Highland Park high. WINTER WEDDING PLANNED The engagement of Martha Frances McGowan to Stanley Patâ€" terson Black, son of Dr. and Mrs. Gardner Black of Honolulu, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Z. McGowan, 2344 Pierce road, Highland Park. Mrs..Marshall was here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Marjorie Kutâ€" zer on August 13. RETURNED HOME NEWCOMERS TO HIGHLAND PARK Newcomers to Highland Park are the Ivan L. Tylers of 5107 Ridgeland avenue. They purchased their new home. They are from Western Springs, Illinois. They have a son, Charles, 12. Mrs. Tyler, a graduate of the University of California, is an artist. This past spring she gave an exhibition of some of her Chiâ€" nese paintings, at the Esquire Theatre, Chicago. She is a member of the Chicago Painters and Sculpâ€" tors. Mr. Taylor is in charge of ‘the research department of the Portland Cement company. Recently of Lake Bluff and now residing at 518 Arbor avenue, the home they bought, are the Richâ€" ard H. Campbells. They are parâ€" ents of a son, Terry, 5. Mr. Campâ€" bell is with the Morris Paper Mills, Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nathan are the new owners of the home at 553 Detamble avenue in which they are now residing. From Chiâ€" cago, Mr. Nathan is connected with the Equitable Life Assurance company, Chicago. There are two children, Dickie, 5, and Jill, 2.
