Both are now employed at the Public Service company. The honors list, announced by Registrar C. E. Harrell, included 872 students. To attain honors listing, a student must be in the highest ten per cent in the school or division in which he is enrolled. Of the total, 126 students were in the highest one per cent of their respective classes. Word has been received of the marriage of Bea Droste, of Chiâ€" cago, formerly of Highland Park, and Ken Ketzel, which took place in Chicago on September 4. Mr. Ketzel and his bride are now reâ€" siding in South Bend, Indiana. He is a special representative of the Studebaker corporation. WINS SCHOLASTIC HONORS RETURNS HOME In honor of Harold (Red) Allen, coâ€"members of the football team of ‘45 and ‘46 of the Highland Park high school, gave the bachelor dinner, lfi Friday night, Septemâ€" ber 10. Mr. Allen and Miss Kathâ€" ryn Mae Snyder were married the following morning at St. Thomas Aquinas church, Milwaukee. Henry Alders of 644 Vine avenue has returned home. The Clarks are parents of a son, John Alders Clark. â€" BEA DROSTE MARRIES After a visit in Binghamton, New York, with hisdaughter, Mrs. John Clark ~(Rita Alders), Mr. Bob Cameron, U.S.N., son of the R. C. Camerons o{ 424 N. Central avenue, Highwood, is back in San Diego, California, after three weeks at sea. He recently received a promotion to Petty Officer, 3/c. Organizes Touch Football League ~_The organization meeting of the Touch Football League for Highâ€" land Park will be held at the Comâ€" munity Center, Monday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. Play will begin Thursday eveâ€" ning, October 7. at Sunset Park under the lights. When the diplomas were awardâ€" ed, 102 children received gold stars, signifying that they had read and reported on twelve or more books, and 73 children reâ€" ceived blue stars for seven books read and reported on. Parents and friends were present to watch the youngsters receive their awards. Mrs. Boye also announced that the weekly story hour will be reâ€" sumed on Saturday, October 2. Every seat in the Public Liâ€" brary Auditorium was filled last Saturday morning by an enthusâ€" iastic crowd gathered for the sumâ€" mer reading <award ceremony. More than 130 people, young and old, chuckled as David and Betsy Phelps presented two marrionette shows, complete with animais, songs, and puppet toys. Following . this entertainment Mrs. Inger Boye, the children‘s librarian, told of the summer reading. Encouraging the children of Highland Park to discover more in the world of books, the library this summer sponsored a planâ€" where each child could reâ€" port on books he had read and a record was in turn kept by Mrs. Boye. There were 359 children registered for the program and a total of 2,201 book reports were taken. Berg of Sheldon lane, a June graduate of the Highland Park high school, is studying at Grinnell college in lowa this year. She left last week for school.
