Everyone is to meet at the "Y" at 6:15 for Pi Delta Club Plans Picnic At Home Of Mrs. Dewey â€" Gert Kinnell and George Womack handled their parts in a winning way and David Durston and Alta Wilson were convincing in their parts. & Newcomer Olga Topper as Madame Daruschka was not only perfect for her part, but highly humorâ€" ous as well and deserves extra applause. Chalk up another successful play for our Tentâ€" house stars. 4 "Claudia" will run through next Sunday. Next Tuesday "The Glass Menagerie" opens and scouts report it‘s the best yet. _ _ . uy Now back to "Clqudia". § se In our opinion, Helen Stenborg was outstanding in her role. She was made for the part. Her perforâ€" mance set a swift pace in the fastâ€"moving comedyâ€" drama. ' s . F3 Marrian Walters as Claudia‘s mother, performed well and with restraint. Miss Walters shows more talent each week and her handling of character roles is tops. â€" > Barney Hughes, Helen‘s husband in real life, and the harassed husband of Claudia in the play, handled his role with skill and deftness. He, by the way, is every bit as good as Robert Young was in the same role in the "Claudia‘" movie. But as good as she was, she couldn‘t have done a better job than Helen Stenborg who, more than just convincingly and movingly, portrays the scatterâ€" brained wife in the Tenthouse Theater‘s second play Most of you Highland Parkers will remember Dorothy McGuire in Rose Franken‘s "Claudia." And most of you, I‘ll wager, thought she was excellent in the part. ns ies > _¢*You‘re Closer To God In A Garden. . .. ."
