Excavation shall not include the excavation for manholes, catch basins, manboleâ€"catch basins, inlets, inlet manholes, storm sewers, connections, house service connections, macadam pavemment replacement, sidewalk repiacement, driveway replacement, valve vaults, manholes, catch basin adjustments, new valve vaults, meter pit adjustment, water service exâ€" tensions, tree removals or planting, hydrant removals, or excavation for the straight curb; such excavation shall be incidental to the improvement and shali be included in the unit cost of the specific unit of work to be done.
