6. BARBARA FLOYD, A BRIDE place in the Highland Park Presâ€" byterian â€" church on Saturday, March 24, at 4:30 p.m, when Miss Barbara Ellen Floyd became the bride of Gerald Roland Roberts. ‘The Rev. Dr. William A. Young heard the exchange of nuptial vows. The bride is the daughter of the John David Floyds of 441 St. Johns place and the bridegreom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Robeérts of Alamosa, Colo. The bride, who was given in mazriage by her father, was loyely in an ivory satin gown, made with a fitted bodice, trimmed: in antiâ€" que lace, and a very full skirt, which ended in a short train. Her fingertip veil of Ilusion fell from a satin Juliet cap headdress. The pearlsâ€" she wore were a single strand. The Ivory satin covered Bible, which she carried, was one that had been given to her modmx_ on her: seventh birthday byâ€"her parents. Itâ€"was passed on to Barâ€" bara, also on her seventh birthday. Bowes, Jr. of 176 Laurel avenue had just about time to unpack from a 5 weeks‘ trip to Mexico and .pack again for a motor trip through the south this past week. Nancy, a freshman at Arizona, flew home last week for her spring vacation. She and Joan Winton, a freshman at Northwestern, spent Saturday and Sunday at Beloit college in Wisconsin as the guests of Miss Janis Zabel. They arrived home last Thursâ€" day night from Mexico and will leavé toâ€"morrow, with their childâ€" ren, â€"Courtney, Peler and Harriâ€" son (Mickey). They plan to visit in Virginia, Augusta, Georgia and Point Clear, Alabama. They will be gone about three weeks. He is a member of the medical corps.
