Bolger was safe on an error by O'Nehls at short, both of the Meyers boys scoritig on the error, while Bolger went to second and then came home when Erlensen made a mess of Patzke's roller. Patzke stole second. Buss was hit by a pitched ball and took first. Bolger scored when Rossman drove another grounder thru the visitor's second baseman. Buss went to second on the play. Michels hit to F; Bretsch at third, who forced Buss at that corner. Meier tried to catch Michels off of first and his throw got away from Redsinski. Rossman started for third on the play and thence on home when the throw to third got away from P. Bretsch. Michels reached third on the same play. Knox was thrown out at first' by Elensen. This was by far the worst exhibition of baseball ever crowded into one inning in the history of the game in McHenry. One hit, seven runs. Miller singled to center and went on to third when the ball bounded awmy from Bolger. Erlensen- was thrown out at first by A. Meyers, Rossman taking the throw. Two hits, no runs. McHenry: Warner was safe on F. Bretseh's error and stole second. M. Meyers popped to Schumacher, while A. Meyers and Bolger both fanned. No hits, no runs. Third inning: -F. Bretsch was thrown , out by Rosaman. Redsinski sent a 'triple to left. Meier struck out and Q'Nehls was thrown out hy Rossman. One hit, no runs. McHenry: Patzke and Buss both fanned. Rossman was safe on an error by the visiting first baseman. Michels rolled out to MiUer, who was playing first at the time. No hits, no runs. , Fourth inning: H. Bretsch was thrown out by Rossman. Bolger went into right center and gathered in Bennett's fly after a hard run. Schumacher skied to Warner. No hits, no runs. McHenry: Knox was safe on H. BretscK's error in left field. Knox was caught stealing. Warner was safe when Miller dropped a throw from the Dundee short stop. M. Meyers drove Warner in ahead of him on a home run to center. M.
