The losers at this time were the Elgin Badgers. Strand, of the visitors, whose offerings were delivered from the port side, had things pretty well his own way to the seventh inning. In fact, up until this particular round he had allowed our home boys but four hits and nary a run. In the seventh, however, the home crew started a vicious bombardment of his offerings and to make matters still worse his support began to falter. He succeeded, however, ih stemming the tide after fo'ur runs had been registered. 1 v - Hostilities were again renewed in 'the following inning, with the result that Strand was removed to make room for Wendt, who took the moupd in an endeavor to stop the dtoslaught. This he succeeded in doing, but not until after the damage had been done, the home outfit scoring five more runs in this frame, enough to win. Rossman for McHenry found himself in trouble in' nearly every inning, a total of fourtedh hits being gleaned off his delivery, which, together with McHENR v¥-\ Special Carnival Sale FRIDAY & SATURDAY JL Women's, misses' and children's House Dresses v und Aprons at 33H% discount.
