Leaders in a number of the various cities and towns of the county have of late been heard to express themselves that the present rate for gas is too high and they feel that the citizens of this county are entitled to lower rates. With this thing in mind the various communities of the county are soon to he organized for the purpose of making a united demand for lower rates. It is the intention to send a McHenry county committee down to Aurora soon to consult with the officials of the Western United Gas & Electric .Co., which company now supplies gas to most of the cities tad towns of the county.
