The failure of a large number of residents to pay their annual fee to the Fox River & Lakes Improvement association has resulted in a financial shortage. This in turn has necessitated curtailment of improvement work and prohibited the installation of pulmotors on each of the bodies of waters in the district covered by the association. The work which has been dJJne, including- the building of a dike 500 feet long above the dam, weed cutting1, placing channel markers and lights, has been delayed and must be paid for as also the debt carried over from last year. Less than fifty per cent of last year's members have paid in their 1922 dues. Those who have paid in are as follows: Alexander Lumber Co., Wm. H. Althoff, Claus Ander,«C. D. M. Anderson, Chas. L.
