MAY 4 & 5 Riders of the Dawn A Zane Grey Picture The McHeary Junior White Sox, who are looking forward to knottier successful baseball season, officially opened the local season last Sunday afternoon by trouncing the McHenry Tigers, also a junior aggregation, by the one-sided score of 15 to 2. Bonslett and Newman formed the battery for the victors, while Harold Freund started to perform for the losers, he being succeeded by P. Patzke, J. Whiting and R. Conway, in the order named. A. Freund did the receiving for the Tigers. Triples by Bonslett of the Sox and E. Conway of the Tigers featured the contest, which, for an opening exhibition, proved a vary creditable one. One double i£lay was also staged by the winners, Green, Kreutzer and Krause figuring in the double killing. The Plain4ealer is pleased to see the interest that the youngsters are taking in our gTeat national pastime. They should be encouraged.
