Wolff, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. llpch and family, Walter Haitman and Sam Wazyniak of Chicago. Confirmation of a large class of young people will take place at St. John's church on Sunday, June 24. The Rt. Rev. Bishop P. J. Muldoon, bishop of Rockford, will be here to take charge of the special services and confer the sacrement upon the members of the class. It has been about four years since the last confirmation was held here. Further particulars regarding the big church event will appear in these colum'ns in next week's issue. The first solemn communion of a large class of boys and girls will take place at St. John's church at nine o'clock next Sunday morning. On account of the special services there will be a slight change in the order of masses for that day. The first mass will take place at 7:30 o'clock while the high mass, during which the children will make their first holy communion, will start at 9:00 o'clock. It is expected that a large congregation will be present to witness the impressive ceremonies. Aylward of Hebron were guests of the former's brother, Will, and family here last Sunday. Mrs. E. E. Cropley returned home from Crystal Lake last Thursday, where she has been nursing for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Alni and family have moved their household goods to Chicago, where they will make their future home. The ladies of this village tendered Mrs. Victor Aim a farewell party last Saturday evening. The occasion Was a very enjoyable one. Mr. and Mrs. Ja$. Jackson entertained relatives from Chicago Monday. They were on their way on a camping trip in northern Wisconsin. Mrs. C. G. Hardy and 'daughter, Emily, and Mrs. H. G. Reeding motored to Brooklyn, Mich., where they are visiting in the Walter Reading home. Doesn't look as if we will have open roads for many months, as the work is progressing very slowly. Last Saturday night a number of the Bull Valley people went by invitation to spend the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burkley, who reside about two miles west of Crystal Lake. The Burkley family moved from Bull Valley early last spring. Clara Kaiser commenced attending school at McHenry the first part of March. She had been in first year high school at Wjaejistock all the first part of the school year. Last week she received her report card and was feeling very much pleased as she passed in every branch, she reports.
