"The home of Mrs. Lucirida Dacy of Woodstock has been purchased by St. Mary's church of that city and, -in the future, will be used as a home for the sisters of St. Mary's school of that city. A large barn on the George L. Murphy farm in Hartland township, Mc Henry county, occupied by Charles Mc- Guire, was destroyed by fire on Monday evening. Forty-eight head of cattle, hay, grain and machinery were also consumed. The estimated loss of |9,000 is pratically covered by insurance. The cause of the blaze is unknown.
