Waldman, William Lange and William Waldman spent a few days at the Dusing home while duck hunting. Mrs. Eatinger a former resident of Volo died Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Townsend and Miss Rachel Smith attended a Hallowe'en party in Waukegan Saturday night. A delightful basket social and entertainment was given at the Brick school Friday night. Mrs. Rose Dunnill and Mrs. Hironimus were McHenry callers Saturday. A daughter was bom last Monday to Mr. and Mrs. Weiser of Volo. Mr. and Mrs. Meigs and their sons of Evanston were entertained at a dinner last Sunday at the Standford home celebrating the birthday of Miss Stanford and litle Merrill Meigs. A jolly Hallowe'en party was given at the Volo M. E. church last Saturday evening. All played games and enjoyed refreshments of popcorn balls and apple*. Mrs. Charles Davis of Carroll, Iowa, is the guest of her mother, south of Volo. Rose Benwell Dillon Hose Benwell Dillon was born at the Benwell homestead September 15, 1865, where she grew to womanhood. February 2, 1876, she was united in marriage to Christopher Dillon, to whom two sons were born, Arthur passing away at the age of seventeen. She passed away at her home Sunday October 25th after a long illness. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, one son, William, three sisters, Mrs. Alice Ford of California, Mrs. Robert Richardson, and Minnie Benwell of Ridgefield and two brothers Gerald Benjiman of Chicago and George Benwell of Round Lake. Burial services were held at the Volo M. E. church Tuesday. Those who attended Mrs. Dillon's funeral from a distance were, Mr. Edward Higgs, son, Arthur, and wife of Oak Park, Mr. and Mrs. Sarena of Ind., Mr. Benjiman of Chicago, Mrs. C.
