Several of Mrs. Hoppe's friends motored out from Chicago last week and spent several days at the Hoppe home. Gordon Wallis is now a pupil in the Bullvaliey school. Perhaps it would be news to sonve of the Plaindealer readers to hear thAt Mrs. Hilda Thomas has been in Rochester, Minn., with Mrs. Ella Spaulding Parks for the past five weeks. Mrs. Parks underwent quite a serious operation but was on the gain and hoped to be able to return soon. A newly married couple will soon occupy the farm vacated by Ralph Wallis. The furniture is all there and everything in readiness. We have not learned their names yet. The young man came over from Hungary with Joe Harris. Mrs. Nina Shentaan and children, Elma and Buddy, were Sunday afternoon visitors in the home of her parents. Mrs. Ray Horrick of Woodstock visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Smith, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michels spent Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hettermann. Mr. and Mrs. Joe J. Freund, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Pitzen and Mrs. Joe B.
