Miss Eppel, the teacher, drives from her home near Woodstock every day. Corn husking was resumed on Tuesday for all of the snowfall. A little shake and the snow falls off as the corn was quite dry before the snow. Mrs. Hoppe, with some friends from Chicago, left Nov. 20 for a vacation in Florida. Anna Kaiser was unable to start to school Monday on account of a severe cold. There are sixteen other pupils enrolled besides Anna. Miss Ammie Francisco is the victim of a very severe cold. She was out of medicine for other troubles and called the doctor Sunday rather than stand a chance of getting more cold. The Ringwood meat truck failed us again last Monday and is missed, as it is a very busy time with farmers and no time to drive to town for meat There was a family gathering at the Hobart home Thanksgiving. All enjoyed the yearly gathering. C. E. Jecks and wife ate their Thanksgiving dinner and then went honey gathering in a tree. Stray dogs seem quite numerous. Not many days ago a fine collie went to the home of the people just moved on the farm once owned by George Thomas and stays there. The family are quite fond of it as it seems contented. A black and tan hound has been seen at a distance on the Hobart farm for several days, but seemed afraid to come when called. Sunday last it ventured near the buildings and was fed. It goes when called and eats all it can get. Dorr Sherman, in company of Mr. Seigel, owner of the H. N.
