Of Crepe Paper Rope Most anyone would count it good fortune to receive a handsome crepe paper rope magazine holder like this graceful basket-shaped one. It is hand* woven of crepe paper rope, in exactly the same way as raffia or reed work. The flower motif is cut out of decora* tive crepe paper, then pasted On. Of Gay Enamel Cloth 1 A -cusliiou ui coiurlul enamel cloth with bas-relief of realistic-looking gay flowers is warranted to bring a real thrill on Christmas morn to the friend who enthuses on the subject of interior decoration, and who waxes eloquent over "a note of color" In the scheme of things. Do not confuse enamel cloth with glazed chintz or cretonne or anything of that sort It looks rather like colored patent leather and It is produced in every lovely shade, both pastel tints and ezotio colorings, also black. wriw&«&«&&&& For tttt Badiatort Dan *' For many this Christmas is going to make a reality <ft that oft-dreamed wistful dream, "When my ship comes in." It is all due to the conspicuous part that ships are now playing as a decorative feature In modern home Interiors. There are ships and ships to be had, some of brass, some of glass for table appointments. The bachelor who glories in a well-furnished den would feel honored to receive this candlestick which embodies a ship in its design. Plaited Parchment Shades Santa Glaus and his reindeers will hjive to work overtime to deliver the many sleigh loads of painted parchment lamp shades which are now "in the making." Clever women are buying these plaited shades undecorated, so as to give them the personal touch of hand embellishment. Many are "saying it" with "scissors painting." One uses scissors instead of a brush, cutting out pictures from decorative crepe paper. These are then carefully pasted on the shade and finally gone over with a coat of transparent amber sealing wax paint. The finished work looks like genuine hand painting.
